new car seat . . . . new car?

After carefully packing the Matrix with all of our baby gear, luggage, dogs, Sean and myself driving to AZ over two days . . . . we started to realize ~ maybe, we needed a bigger car? So we made do in AZ by driving my mom's super spacious vehicle. Which was SO nice to fit the adults and baby in the same car. : )

I mean don't get me wrong we fit in the Matrix but, no one else really fits . . . . it's like a 3 adult maximum plus baby seat! So as time flew by in AZ - Dom kept getting bigger and bigger and soon enough by 5 1/2 mths he grew out of his infant seat? So Grandma Bayersdorffer got him a large super deluxe Convertible Car Seat for the long ride back to CA. Instantly he was much more comfortable in the car . . . . but, now there was even less space for everyone else?

So a quick executive decision . . . . get a new car? Sounds good - right . . . . sure!

So the last week in AZ we bought a car! Super spacious ~ everything fit on the drive back to CA and now when Mom and Dom run around town - there is PLENTY of room for stroller in the back. Hooray!!

ps . . . we can fit adults + baby + marimba or gear!!

FOOD!

No surprise ~ this child LOVES food. We started feeding him 'solids' when he was like 3 1/2 mths . . . . he did really good with rice cereal, bananas, apples, etc.

We just spent 6 weeks in sunny AZ at Grandma and Grandpa Bayersdorffer's and we had to get serious about FOOD. Things were pretty busy - so instead of making everything from scratch (like my mother did) I bought it! : ) Grandma did almost ALL the feedings!!! Thx - mom.

His favorite's are the Ella's Kitchen Brand! He loves Bananas, Apricots and Brown Rice ~ Carrots, Apples, and Parsnips ~ Spinach and Rutabaga!
When we returned home to CA we realized that - oh, I guess we need a real high chair for our child eating real food. As most of you know  - I really wanted to use my wood high chair that my parents saved from when I was a baby. It is sitting in our garage waiting to be painted. We can't find a chair pad like they had in the 70's and Dom is having a hard time sitting in the chair.
So after many hours of reviewing ALL the options we settled on the BOON Flair Pedastal!!! Grandma Simon got it for us!!! So exciting. Can't wait to feed him in a chair that hugs his big baby body.

Obviously, someone elses cool kitchen and baby!!!

I am a bad blogger . . . .

So after not posting on here for about 4 months . . . . I realized I needed to get started!!!! I'm just not good at this stuff?!?!
Now I'm going to try and catch up . . . . hmm ~ we will see how this goes?

This little guy turned 4 months on February 20th!!! So smiley, so happy and starting to get huge!

He just keeps getting bigger and bigger - 5 months on March 20th!

Went to the pediatrician on Tuesday - this child is off the charts for height and staying in the 95% for weight!
