A special project . . . . .

Mexican Bird Mobile

I started working on this very special mobile at the end of February. My BFF was pregnant and requested a mobile!!! At the time I made this - his parents did not know the sex . . . . and everyone kept thinking 'girl'!

So I began . . . .

This is how I work ~ I have to have everything in my sight. 

To figure out what the heck I'm doing . . . . .

A total mess! And I need A LOT of Tootsie Rolls!!!!!!

 I had to figure out colors of the birds and if they would all match, 

different detail, etc. I went with the easy way, all the birds would have similar or same details in different colors! 

I started sewing and picking the colors. The options are endless so it's REALLY difficult to make a 'final' decision! (at least for me)

But ~ I did, then stuffed all the birdies with batting and tied them off. 

Finished Birdies!!!!! So - hard to pick out a favorite!

JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2013

We started the new year with FOOTBALL. Now, Football is not something Mom or Dad like, care about, watch or have any kind of interest in. But, thankfully our friends do . . . . . because ~ this kid LOVES football! Most of you know that this kid flexes every chance he gets. And it started with the Football players on T.V.? He just loves it. 

Thor is the sweetest, nicest, most gentle dog there is! Dominik LOVES him!
 

Sadly, it was time for his first haircut. 

Yep, I know ~ don't cut those curls . . . . it was time. He was a trooper. She said he was the first baby to lay down during his hair cut. 

Princess Nini had her big birthday bash! It was so much fun. It was a 'County Fair' in her own backyard! It was Dominik's first time at a petting zoo. 

We (M&D) took our annual trip to Anaheim at the end of January. It was the first time Dominik had been alone ~ without M&D! Grandma and Grandpa Bayersdorffer came to CA to take car of him while M&D were gone. We had a lot of fun seeing old friends and new music toys!

In February we took a trip to Santa Rosa to visit with some old College friends!

It was a wonderful day playing in the park, visiting, and eating. Wish we lived closer and could hang out all the time!

We also went to Modesto to see a friend's play. 

It was great being able to see everyone and catch up! 

And Dominik was SO excited to play FOOTBALL!!!!

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2012

We spent the first half of November in CA and then drove to AZ for Thanksgiving and to help Grandma and Grandpa Bayersdorffer move. : (

We had a fun visit with Liana at the beginning of the month!
We ate at Pluto's in Davis and Dominik tried BEETS (one of mom's favorites) . . . . . he LOVED them of course!

We spent A LOT of time at the park!!!! 

In his spare time he likes to empty drawers and throw EVERYTHING in the bath tub.

He LOVES to make this face? And he really likes to snuggle big piles of anything!!!!!!!

He desperately wants to break out of his 'baby jail'!!!! He breaks the baby gate ALL the time. 

We traveled to AZ to attend Peter Wood's Wedding! It was the night before Thanksgiving so it worked out perfectly for us to have T-day in AZ!!! This would be the last Thanksgiving in my parents Chandler House ~ sniff, sniff.

Man, he REALLY liked her. How could he not?

While in AZ . . . . I got to spend my 37th Birthday with The Welter Family
(mostly Nellie and REX) and some other good friends! It was a great day!

Fun playdates with Lucas! December in AZ we can still wear shorts, YAY!

We did get to attend a couple of Christmas parties.
And play our favorite Christmas songs on the piano! 

Got to spend good time with good people!

Mom's holiday diet! And Dominik's favorite way to eat, standing up!



We all traveled back to CA so we could spend Christmas with Da-Da! I flew with Dominik (first plane flight) while Grandma and Grandpa Bayersdorffer drove the pups! They definitely had the easy job. : )

2nd Halloween!

Dominik was a Raccoon for Halloween 2012! I know . . . . original. 

He was only 11 days old for Halloween 2011 ~ we took him to see all the carved pumpkins in Green Valley! I'm sure he will remember that forever! HA!

After turning ONE 11 days before Halloween 2012 . . . he could at least be a little more involved in the festivities!!!!!! 

We went Trick-OR-Treating in Hiddenbrooke w/the Flores FAM! IT was a great time! He got to go door-to-door with his favorite girl ~ Nini!!!
