Moving DAY!

THE BIG MOVE

Dad and Mom had to paint the interior of the house before we could move-in. The previous owner was out on June 29. So we started moving little stuff over into the garage. We decided on the paint color June 30 - bought the paint and prepared the empty house. BUT - we were not prepared for how dirty the previous owner left the house. We had to 'deep' clean the whole house before taping off and preparing to paint. It was kinda a nightmare. But, we got it done and were ready to start painting Monday morning July 1!

It took us most of July 4th week to get it done . . . . tall ceilings, upstairs, downstairs, edging . . . . it was A LOT! Oh, and an emergency trip to Dom's pediatrician for a rash that he broke out in from the paint ? ? ? ? 

JULY 6th ~ MOVING DAY

We had tons of friends and movers to help with the process. There was NO WAY we could have done it without them! The mover we hired had 'randomly' moved the previous owner out of our new house that weekend before ? ? ? Meant-to-be I guess . . . . They were WONDERFUL movers. We moved a lot of stuff ourselves but, hired them for the washer/dryer . . . . really heavy stuff, etc. It was a long day and long process BUT - we made it. Dom even got a bath that night in the new house (thanks to Terri)!!!!!

JUNE 2013

Back from AZ ~ time to buckle down and really get things done! 

Grandma Bayersdorffer was back to help with the packing and watching Dominik. We also had TONS of visitors. Since June was

ALL OVER THE PLACE (signing papers, making phone calls, inspections etc.)

Even though we should have been packing ~ it was SO nice just to hang out and have some fun. And have a full house . . . . I really LOVE a full house. 

MAY 2013

May was an exciting month! 

We bought a house!!!!

We had been looking at houses since the fall - we were serious about bidding in March . . . . but, nothing really happened until May! 

Something we never thought would EVER happen - especially in CA!!

We had 2 months to get everything packed and get our lives together!

In between packing we spent 2 weeks in AZ with a quick stop in LA to drop off my Marimba for safe keeping during the move!! 

We had a few warm days in May so we could take advantage of the sunshine!!

It was really HOT for May . . . . 109 degrees in Palm Springs ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

While in AZ the Elmo obsession really hit. 

Maybe ~ it was all those videos in the car . . . . 

but, now this kid ONLY wanted ELMO!!

APRIL 2013

April was a fun month! Mom and Dad flew to Charlotte, NC for cousin Adam's wedding! This was a special trip since most of Dad's family lives on the East Coast and we rarely get to see them. It was also a very quick trip! 

We flew all day on Friday. Wedding all day Saturday. 

And then a family breakfast on Sunday with a long flight home. 

Grandma and Grandpa Bayersdorffer came back to CA to watch the Dominator!

We had a layover in Phoenix . . . . saying "hi" to Camelback mountain.

It was also a SUPER special weekend because my BFF went into labor that Friday! We could hardly sleep Friday night patiently waiting for that little baby!! 

And then bright an early Saturday morning, 

baby Samuel John was born!!! 

He was born at 5:43 am, Toronto, Ontario.

MARCH 2013

March was a busy month for us! 

We traveled to AZ to spend Sean's 30th Birthday and enjoy some sunshine!

Dominik had his FIRST real accident! Thankfully - he was okay . . . . it just looked REALLY bad.
